The book does a nice review of what the body's major nutrients (vitamins, minerals) are and why they are important. Better still, it also outlines the major food sources containing these nutrients.
However much of this information is readily available online, and I found the book a bit too aggressive in giving examples of what happens when one Cited by: 1. Vitamins and minerals from Vit A to Zinc are covered here. There are also short sections on other supplements like Amino Acids, Co-Enzyme Q10, Acidophilus, Bioflavonoids, Boron and various herbs.
Then follows an A - Z of symptoms and their remedies, from acne and allergies to varicose veins/5(4). "Healing with Vitamins", from Rodale Health Books, is a thick book of pages that is packed full of information.
The book sticks to vitamins and minerals only, with nothing about herbs, supplements, homeopathics, etc. Yet, it is very comprehensive and backed by good science. The first part of the book is a listing of vitamins and minerals/5(12).
